How to complete an online application

Instructions for completing an online Application form to UWC colleges

Step 1: Registration and access to personal account.  

To complete an online application to a UWC college you will need to follow the link in the section Eligibility Criteria and register.

On the registration page you should provide your personal e-mail, name and surname (in English), and a password that you will use to get an access to your account in the application system. Then please click Create Account button.

Within 10 minutes you will receive a link to your account in the system. Following this link and entering a password will give you access to your account.

Important: Automatically generated messages are sometimes blocked by spam filters. Therefore, if you do not receive a notification with the link within 10 minutes, please check your Spam folder. If you have not received an invitation within 24 hours, please contact us via georgia@uwcnc.org.

Once logged in you need to complete a short eligibility questionnaire and choose if you apply through:

  • UWC National Committee system (successful candidates may apply for a scholarship / grant on the basis of demonstrated need),
  • or UWC Global Selection Programme (successful candidates will be expected to pay the full fee of the UWC school or college).

If you select UWC National Committee the system will determine which selection committee you are eligible for. Once the Applicant Information is complete you need to click Programs to see which committees you are eligible to apply for.

Please note that you can only make an application via one National Committee.

In application chosen in your account there is an interactive Task list, where the completion status of the various sections of the online Application form is shown.

Step 2: Completing tasks 1-4 – Information about Applicant. 

This section is completed by the Applicant in English.

  • Personal Information;
  • Contact Information;
  • Academic Information – academic transcript (signed and stamped by your educational institution), the certificate of completion of year 9 is sufficient for pupils of year 10. You will also need to translate your transcript, however, there is no need for an official certified translation;
  • Core Application Information – the bulk of the application, which includes an essay.

In the Task list, select the sections in order and complete the electronic forms that appear.

Step 3: Completing task 5 – Parent(s)/Guardian(s) Information and Authorization 

This task is completed by the Applicant’s parents(s) or guardian(s). The section may be completed in Georgian or English.

In the Task list, select Parent(s)/Guardian(s) Information and Authorization and complete the form by indicating the name, surname and email address of the parent or guardian who will complete the task and optional message that will be attached to their invitation. After you have completed the form and pressed the Send request button, an invitation containing a link will be sent to the email address you have supplied within a few minutes. By following this link, your parent or guardian will obtain access to the form and be able to complete it. You will not be able to make an application until this form is completed.

On the Task list he/she will need to select Parent’s or Guardian’s Form and complete the form that then opens. 

Important: Please alert your parent or guardian to the fact that they will be receiving an email requesting them to complete a form. Therefore, if your parent or guardian has not received an invitation containing a link giving access to the personal account within 10 minutes, they should check their Spam folder. If the invitation is not received within 24 hours, select  Parent(s)/Guardian(s) Information and Authorization from the Task list in your account and press Resend request. Alternatively, use the Withdraw request option to delete your parent or guardian’s information, add new details, and send a new invitation to your parent or guardian with a link giving account access. If the invitation is still not received, please contact us via georgia@uwcnc.org.

Step 4: Completing task 6 – Community Reference.  

This may be completed in English.

The section should be completed by someone who can give a community reference for the Applicant. This section must not be completed by a school teacher, family member or friend. The person who completes it must be aged over 18 and must know you well. This person might for example be your coach (outside school), or, if you work or volunteer, your manager. The information contained in this reference is confidential. The detailed reference will be asked to be provided for those candidates who will be invited to participate in the Final Selection Day.

In the Task list select Community Reference and complete the form by indicating the name, surname and email address of the Referee who will provide your reference. After you have completed the form and pressed Send request, an invitation containing a link should be sent to the email address provided within a few minutes. By following this link and entering a password, your Referee will be able to access and complete the form.

In the Task list, the referee must choose Community Reference and complete the form that then opens.

Important: Please alert your Referee to the fact that they will be receiving an email requesting them to complete a form. If your Referee has not received this invitation within 10 minutes, they should check their Spam folder. If the invitation is not received within 24 hours, select  Community Reference from the Task list in your account and press Resend request. Alternatively, you may select the Withdraw request option to delete your Referee’s information, add new details, and send a new invitation to your Referee with a link. If the invitation is still not received after this, please contact us via georgia@uwcnc.org.

Step 5: Completing task 7 – School Reference.  

This should be completed by the Applicant’s teacher in English.

The section should be completed by a teacher who knows you well. This is your academic reference. Information contained in the reference is confidential. A detailed reference will be asked to be provided for those candidates who will be invited to participate in the Final Selection Day.

In the Task list, select School Reference and complete the form by indicating the name, surname and email address of the teacher who will provide your school reference. Once you have completed this form and pressed the Send request button, an invitation containing a link will be sent to the email address given within a few minutes. By following this link and entering a password, your teacher will obtain access to The form and be able to complete it.

In the Task list, the referee should select School Reference Form and complete the form that then opens.

Important: Please alert your teacher to the fact that they will be receiving an email with a request to complete a form. If your teacher has not received an invitation with a link for access to Section D within 10 minutes, they should check their Spam folder. If the invitation is not received within 24 hours, select School Reference from the Task list and press the Resend request button. Alternatively, you may use the Withdraw request option to remove your teacher’s information, add new details, and send a new invitation to your teacher with a link allowing them access their user account. If the invitation is still not received after this, please contact us via georgia@uwcnc.org.

Step 6: Documents upload – tasks 8-10. 
  • Your photo should be attached by selecting Profile photo in your account. Your face should be a close shot. On the page that opens, click the Choose File button to select the desired photo on your computer, then click Save. The system supports *.jpg, *.gif, *.png images.
  • You must attach a copy of your identity document (national or international passport, birth certificate or ID card) by selecting Upload a copy of your Passport or ID or Birth certificate from the Task list. If you do not have a passport (travel document) at the time of application, we advise you to apply for one, as you will need a travel document if you successfully pass the selection process. On the page that opens, click the Choose File button, select the desired document from your computer, then click Mark as complete.
  • A copy of the Consent to Personal Data Processing form completed and signed by the candidate and one of his/her parents/guardians (the form can be downloaded by clicking on the appropriate link in the task) must be attached by selecting Upload a copy of the Consent to Personal Data Processing in the Task list. On the page that opens, click the Choose File button, select the document on your computer, and then click Mark as complete.
Step 7: Submitting the Application  

In the task list you can see the current status of each task in your Application (including whether recommendation sections have been completed) and number of tasks completed. When all sections of the Application form have been completed, click the Submit button to submit it to the UWC Selection Committee.

Check your application!

Before sending your completed application, you may use Review button located next to Submit button in order to ensure that you have completed all the forms and are satisfied with your application.
