 How to complete an online Application form for entry to UWC

Instructions for completing an online Application form to UWC colleges

On the registration page you should provide your personal e-mail address, your name and surname (in English) and create a password so that you can access your personal account in the application system. Then please click the Register button.

Within 10 minutes you will receive a link to your personal account in the application system. Following this link and entering your password will give you access to your personal account

Important: Automatically generated messages are sometimes blocked by spam filters. Therefore, if you do not receive a notification with the link to your personal account within 10 minutes, please check your Spam folder. If you have not received an invitation within 24 hours, please contact us via georgia@uwcnc.org.

Once logged in you will need to complete the short Applicant Information questionnaire, which will determine which selection committee you are eligible for. Once the Applicant Information is complete you need to click View Applications to see which committees you are eligible to apply for.

In the Task column in your personal account there is an interactive Task list, where the completion status of the various sections of the online Application form is shown.

In the Actions column, actions corresponding to various sections of the Application form are shown: these allow you to view, edit or delete documents or information that has been added.

You can monitor the current status of each task of your Application in the Status column. The deadline for completing each task is shown in the Deadline column.

  • Step 2: Completing Section A1. This section is completed by the Applicant in English.

From the Task list choose Section A1 and then complete the electronic form that opens.

To return to the Task list, press Back to Submission.

Completing Section A2. This section is completed by the Applicant in English.

From the Task list choose Section A2 and then complete the electronic form that opens.

To return to the Task list, press Back to Submission.

Your photo (a full-face view) should be uploaded by selecting Add Your Logo on the user account page. On the page that opens, press Choose File and choose a suitable photo from your computer’s folders, then press the Submit button. The system supports *.jpg, *.gif, and *.png images.

A copy of your academic transcript can be attached by selecting Upload an Academic Transcript from the Task list. On the page that opens, press Choose File and choose the required document from your computer’s folders, then press the Submit button. The system supports PDF, Microsoft Office and Open Office files and *.jpg, *.gif, and *.png images. PDF files are preferred.

A copy of your passport/ID can be attached by selecting Upload a copy of your passport or ID from the Task list. On the page that opens, press Choose File and choose the document required from your computer’s folders, then press the Submit button. The system supports PDF and *.jpg, *.gif, and *.png images. PDF files are preferred.

  • Step 3: Completing Section B. This section is completed by the Applicant’s parents(s) or guardian(s). Section B should be completed in English.

In the Task list, select Section B – Parents or Guardians and complete the form by providing the name, surname and email address of the parent or guardian who will complete Section B. After you have completed the form and pressed the Submit buttonwithin a few minutes an invitation containing a link will be sent to the email address you have provided. By following this link, your parent or guardian will obtain access to Section B and be able to complete it.

On the Task list he/she will need to select Parent’s or Guardian’s Form and complete the form that then opens. 

Important: Please tell your parent or guardian that they will be receiving an email requesting them to complete a form. Automatically generated messages are sometimes blocked by spam filters. Therefore, if your parent or guardian has not received an invitation containing a link giving access to Section B within 10 minutes, he/she should check his/her Spam folder. If the invitation is not received within 24 hours, select Section B –Parents or Guardians from the Task list in your personal account and press Resend Invitation. Alternatively, use the Delete option to delete your parent or guardian’s information, add new details, and send a new invitation to your parent or guardian with a link giving access to Section B. If the invitation still does not arrive, please contact us via georgia@uwcnc.org.

To return to the Task list, press Back to Submission.

  • Step 4: Completing Section C – Community Reference. This should be completed in English.

Section C should be completed by someone who can give a community reference for the Applicant. This section must not be completed by a school teacher, family member or friend. The person who completes it must be aged over 18 and must know you well. This person might for example be your coach (outside school), or, if you work or volunteer, your manager. The information contained in this reference is confidential. This reference may be up to 250 words and must be signed (electronic signature).

In the Task list select Section C – Community Reference and complete the form by indicating the name, surname and email address of the Referee who will provide your community reference. After you have completed the form and pressed Submit, within a few minutes an invitation containing a link will be sent to the email address provided. By following this link and entering a password, your Referee will be able to access and complete Section C.

In the Task list, he/she must choose Community Reference and complete the form that then opens.

Important: Please tell your Referee that he/she will be receiving an email requesting him/her to complete a form. Automatically generated messages are sometimes blocked by spam filters. Therefore, if your Referee has not received this invitation within 10 minutes, he/she should check his/her Spam folder. If the invitation is not received within 24 hours, select Section C – Community Reference from the Task list in your personal account and press Resend Invitation. Alternatively, you may select the Delete option to delete your Referee’s information, add new details, and send a new invitation to your Referee with a link giving access to his/her user account. After doing this, if the invitation has still not arrived, please contact us via georgia@uwcnc.org.

To return to the Task list, press Back to Submission.

  • Step 5: Completing Section D – School Reference. This should be completed by the Applicant’s teacher in English.

Section D should be completed by a teacher who knows you reasonably well. This is your academic reference. Information contained in the reference is confidential.

In the Task list, select Section D – Teacher and complete the form by providing the name, surname and email address of the teacher who will provide your school reference. Once you have completed this form and pressed the Submit button, within a few minutes an invitation containing a link will be sent to the email address given. By following this link and entering a password, your teacher will obtain access to Section D and be able to complete it.

In the Task list, he/she should select School Reference Form and complete the form that then opens.

Important: Please alert your teacher to the fact that he/she will be receiving an email with a request to complete a form. Automatically generated messages are sometimes blocked by spam filters. Therefore, if your teacher has not received an invitation with a link for access to Section D within 10 minutes, he/she should check his/her Spam folder. If the invitation is not received within 24 hours, select Section D – Teacher from the Task list and press the Resend Invitation button. Alternatively, you may use the Delete option to remove your teacher’s information, add new details, and send a new invitation to your teacher with a link allowing them access his/her user account. After doing this, if the invitation has still not arrived, please contact us via georgia@uwcnc.org.

To return to the Task list click on Back to Submission.

  • Step 6: Submitting the Application.

In the Status column you can see the current status of each task in your Application (including whether sections B, C and D have been completed). When all sections of the Application form have been completed, click the Submit Application button to submit it to the Georgian Selection Committee.

Check your application!

Before sending your completed application, ensure that:

  • You have completed Sections A1 and A2 and attached electronic copies of your passport, Transcript and the Consent to Personal Data processing document;
  • Your parents or guardians have completed Section B;
  • All the references in Sections C and D have been submitted.

The Status column opposite each task should show Complete.

Electronic signatures

Sections A1, B, C and D must be signed by the individuals who completed them. For signing a form an individual should place the mouse pointer in the field “Signature”, press the left mouse button and sign as usual.
